CCS holds to the biblical exhortation that “the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.” The Apostle Paul says that in “Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” (Col. 2:3) He also says that, “all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.” (Col. 1:16)
We believe anything less than this comprehensive view of "everything" to be insufficient grounds for the growth, nurture, education, and development of a child.
We reject affective or non-directive philosophies of parenting and education. These progressive models hold that children left to themselves with minimal parental “interference” and adult direction are far better off morally, psychologically, and intellectually. A biblical view of "everything" cannot embrace such notions.
